Heating & hot water
Boiler
Worcester Bosch Greenstar CDi Classic
The boiler is in the cupboard by the garden patio doors. The thermostat is on the side of that cupboard.
Adjusting it
- Central heating: turn the heating control to the level you want, roughly 35°C to 90°C.
- Hot water: turn the hot water control, roughly 40°C to 60°C.
- When the burner is lit, the light under the ON/OFF button glows green. That is how you know heating or hot water is actually running.
If there is no heating or hot water
- 01Check the boiler has not been switched off. The power switch is inside the cupboard, to the left of the boiler.
- 02Check the heating and hot-water controls on the outside of the cupboard are set to On or Auto, not Off.
- 03Check the pressure gauge reads about 1.5 bar.
- 04If the reset button and fault light are flashing, press reset for three seconds.
- 05If that does not clear it, please stop and message us. Do not press reset repeatedly.
Safety
- If you smell gas: do not smoke, use a lighter or strike matches. Do not operate electrical switches or unplug anything. Do not use the telephone or ring doorbells. Turn off the gas at the meter, open windows and doors, warn the neighbours and leave the building. Well away from the house, call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999.
